- Chris Schoon worked as a scriptwriter for Saban's "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" during the first year the show aired. He also wrote the original Show Bible for Saban's "V.R. Troopers" during the initial development stage of that show. Schoon also wrote for Warner Bros. animated "Batman" series, penned several episodes of Hanna-Barbera's "Rick Moranis in Gravedale High" and wrote scripts for the Hanna-Barbera/Hallmark series Timeless Tales.
Schoon was born in 1951 to parents Warren and Betty Schoon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After spending his senior year as an AFS exchange student in Sweden, he attended several colleges and universities before graduating from the U of Nebraska/Lincoln with a degree in Broadcast Journalism & Advertising Writing. He spent a number of years on the road in various regional rock bands and a traveling theater troupe before moving to Los Angeles. After several years as in in-house copywriter at Walt Disney Home Video, he became a full-time freelance writer, working in both entertainment advertising and scriptwriting.
