- James Meyer began his career in Chicago in 1982 as a storyboard artist and later became an Art Director with Leo Burnett producing national TV commercials for Kellogg's cereals. James later worked with Backer, Spielvogel & Bates Worldwide as a Senior Art Director producing more than 30 TV commercials for Wendy's Int'l and Kobacker Shoes.
Since 1991, James has traveled to 76 countries, making documentaries and films honoring the people and cultures in these places.
In 2006 James and his wife Sara Meyer founded GemStone Media, a European production company specializing in positive, uplifting short stories. More recently James has founded Lava Lamp Films, an international production company focused on developing feature length film projects for the global market.
