Overlord has consistently been one of the most popular and successful isekai series for some years now, definitely becoming a classic of the genre. Based on the 16-volume (as of the time of writing) light novel series by Kugane Maruyama, the Overlord anime series premiered back in 2015, and so far, four seasons have been released, along with Ova works and compilation movies.
