Barbara Ross is a writer with a creative eye for the Action-Thriller genres. Barbara's scripts feature a female lead, such as the screenplay titled Ms. Millennial which was awarded First Place at The International Writers Seminar, Recently, Barbara was awarded "Best Writer" at the Austin Film Festival Under the Stars for her work on the script WhatNext, produced by Bash Productions, starring actress Marietta Melrose. WhatsNext was also awarded the "People's Choice Award". Barbara has been mentored by acclaimed Los Angeles writing coach Pilar Alessandra from "On the Page" developing a new feature for the big screen.
More recently, Barbara became a producer, venturing into short films with her own Media company, "B Story Media". Barbara relocated to Los Angeles from Ohio, she supported the Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce as the Marketing Chair on the Board of Directors, served as COO for Addition Building & Design, Inc., a family-owned business, and launched conNEXTions, a company built to help young athletes progress to the next level in sports.
Barbara received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology, then attended the UCLA Writers Extension Program, fine-tuning her scripts & writing skills. While in 4th grade, Barbara wrote her first play. Later in high school, she wrote for her school newspaper, after college, Barbara created an entertainment magazine to educate and promote young actors.
Currently, Barbara is a full-time writer in Los Angeles.
