Jay is a Chilean-American disabled producer who was born and raised in SE Massachusetts with a background in automotive tech and as a foreman running construction projects. He is known for the HBO-distributed Project Greenlight short "Whiskey Boys", and Lionsgate National Storytellers Competition wild card winning short film, "Masque", which had over 3 million views, and secured an award at the 2015 Crystal + Lucy's. "Of Mine", a grantee short, premiered at Disney Studios.
His recent 13x best of/best director winning short, "The Plumber" had a successful festival run and is the latest in a long-time collaboration with director Cate Carson.
Jay is also a proud alumnus of the 2020 RespectAbility Lab for disabled filmmakers.
