Colombo, July 26 (Ians) Sarfaraz Ahmed has been replaced by Mohammad Rizwan as a concussion substitute for the rest of the ongoing second Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at the Singhalese Sports Club on Wednesday, said Pakistan Cricket Board (Pcb).
Sarfaraz was hit on his head while ducking a bouncer by fast-bowler Asitha Fernando on the very first ball he faced in the afternoon session on day three’s play. Though he hung around for five overs, where he hit three boundaries, Sarfaraz walked off the field after gesturing to the back of his head, where he was hit previously by the bouncer.
Sarfaraz, the wicketkeeper-batter, retired hurt after scoring 14 runs off 22 balls. Pcb added that match referee David Boon accepted the Pakistan team management’s request for the substitution and he remains under the observation of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s medical panel.

New Delhi, April 30 (Ians) Former Australian all-rounder Tom Moody reckoned that Delhi Capitals (DC) made a tactical mistake by sending Axar Patel down at number seven during their run chase against SunRisers Hyderabad (Srh) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
DC failed to chase down the 198-run target as they were restricted to 188/6 in 20 overs. Mayank Markande led from the front with the ball with an excellent spell of 4-0-20-2 as Srh bowlers bounced back hard and survived Phil Salt (59 off 35) and Mitchell Marsh’s blitzes (63 off 39) to break the three-match losing streak on Saturday night.
Axar was sent in to bat after the likes of Priyam Garg and Sarfaraz Khan, both of whom were dismissed cheaply and remained unbeaten on 29 off 14 balls. With 49 needed off 18, Axar smacked a six off Bhuvneshwar and took 14 off the 18th over. With 35 needed off 12, Natarajan bowled another excellent over as he nailed...

Suryakumar set the world of men’s T20I cricket alight in 2022 and also won the Icc Men’s T20I Player of the Year award. Though he hasn’t found his groove in Odi cricket yet, Suryakumar, who averages 44.75 in first-class cricket, has been included in India’s 17-member Test squad for the first two Tests against Australia starting from February 9 in Nagpur.
“Absolutely, the way he is performing. I think he should play in all three formats and without him, all three formats should not even exist. The way he performed, the way he shows intent, the way he plans different shots, he also plays fearlessly and knows...
