- Kylie Minogue started her singing career with Stock Aitken Waterman, recording several hits with them, beginning with "I Should Be So Lucky".

- Waterman admitted the lines "take or leave us, only please believe us, we ain't ever gonna be respectable" from the song "Respectable" were directed at the UK music industry for snubbing Stock, Aitken and Waterman at the 1986 Brit Awards.
