A writer and producer, born and raised in Jeddah. Despite earning a degree in biomedical engineering, Orabi pursued a passion for cinema. He has been an active participant in numerous screenwriting and production workshops, dedicating himself entirely to independent filmmaking for the past seven years. Orabi's feature film script "Al Daar" garnered the first prize at the Saudi Film Festival's Production Market and won a Red Sea Film Festival Fund. In the realm of film production, Orabi has successfully produced two short films: "For The Sultan's Glory" and "Jawi". Both films have participated in numerous local and international film festivals, winning several awards.
Recently, he collaborated with Telfaz 11 to work on many feature films: "The Matchmaker", screening on Netflix, and "Sayfi", which will be screened in cinema soon. Currently, he is working on historical feature film in NEOM.
Orabi is a co-founder of "Cinema Merkaz", one of the pioneering initiatives to showcase and discuss independent films from around the world. He also served as a film programmer at "Wadi Cinema", an independent cinema center in Riyadh. among his significant writing contributions is the 30-episode documentary series "Layla", where he served as a writer and co-producer. The series was broadcasted on SBC channel.
