Beatrice "Benny" Quinn is a composer, writer, actor, and singer/songwriter from Minnesota. They attended Tisch School of the Arts at NYU in the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, Cycle 31. They've had a history of voice acting, composing for audio drama podcasts, and releasing their own independent music.
Quinn got their start in film by working as a production assistant for various short films created by film students from Montclair State University. This included filling roles such as boom op, craft services, and script supervisor. Their first composer credit came with the 2019 short film "Cookies & Cream," dir. by Hannah Verbeke. Their first professional film credit came with being a set PA for "As Sick As They Made Us," dir. by Mayim Bialik (post-production).
Outside of film, James released their first independent album "Brand New" in 2018, and released an EP "Violet Dawn" in 2020. Additionally, they've written/produced/performed in their own short-form musical, "Callback," which they created with Tisch classmate Anna Marcus-Hecht in 2021.
