Born in Memphis Tennessee, Kris Thomas has been a showstopper ever since he began performing publicly in his church choir at 12 years old. At the age of 15, Kris joined the Young Actors Guild where he gained his first experience in theatre and stage production. Afterwards he moved on to join the prestigious Stax Music Academy where he was allowed to study and perform with world class musicians, and former Stax artists. He went on to win numerous talent competitions throughout high school. After completing high school, Kris decided to further his education where he attended Middle Tennessee State University obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Also while attending college Kris became a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
After completing college Kris signed with Universal Republic Records where he released a few singles before parting ways with the label. In 2013, Kris gained national attention as a Top-10 contestant on NBC The Voice, where he was a member of Shakira's Season four team. Afterwards, he relocated to Orlando Florida where he held a residency at BB Kings Blues and Soul Club since 2014. Kris then joined the Afrotv network as a vocalist on "Afrojams" and "The Lowdown with James Yon", and is now excited to embark on his new journey as co host on "Live with Candice and Kris."
