Initially, she demonstrated great interest in dance photography-almost always flamenco music-and later she also specialized in portraits and journalistic photography.

In 2013 she received the Premio Nacional de Fotografía Piedad Isla (National Photography Prize of Piedad Isla) from the Diputació de Palencia.
In 2004 she was awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
In 1998 she was awarded the Artistic Merit Prize from the Ajuntament de Barcelona.
Her work is part of the collections of the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya.
Trained with Xavier Miserachs i Ribalta, and began her professional career in 1961 as a laboratory technician and stylist for Miserachs.
