Charles C. Watt's award-winning instrumentals are as diverse as the city he was born and raised in Chicago, IL. A musician without an instrument at a young age he found that access to a piano was the one thing that he wanted above all others. Recordings from Stevie Wonder, George Duke, Parliament, and Roy Ayers to name a few, all planted seeds for a life filled with music.
Garnering further influences from Pete Rock, Rza, Timbaland, and especially The Roots, he began to build his brand with many artists from the area as a Hip-Hop producer that "really plays the piano" during the sample-based sound peak for the genre. With an appreciation for many genres of music and refusing to be boxed into a single genre, he started writing anything that came to mind as long as it had a groove. Going from House to Orchestral then Dubstep and finishing with Neo-Soul keep the ride fresh and exciting. With over 20 years of practice and trial & error in composing, arranging, recording, engineering, mixing and sound design, and a music production degree from Full Sail University, It's time to gather music, collaborate and, make memorable content.
