Joao Carlos de Castro Escobar (known as Joao Escobar) (born December 15, 1999) is a Brazilian songwriter and music producer, one of the new biggest artists working behind the scenes in the Latin electronic dance music and pop music industry in the last years. Born in Porto Alegre but raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the artist has been making music since he was 11 years old and now, publishing his work via many worldwide sources, co-writing, producing and working for the biggest names in the pop and electronic music industry. Joao's latest album was featured in Voxes, made and recorded in Ontario, Canada, released at the beginning of 2019.
In January 2018, Joao won the Canterbury Arts Nomination prize of the youngest producer to achieve 10 million plays in a short period of time, surpassing other local nominees. His biggest names in the music industry are Justin Bieber, Rita Ora, The Weeknd and Galantis. He also follows the paths of Victor Chaves, a big inspiration for him.
