Actress Elina Madison knows a good scream when she hears one. She's a queen of modern day horror flicks and has appeared in such classics as Curse of the Forty-Niner (2002), Creepshow III (2006), Petrified (2006) and a film she co-produced and starred in called Corporate Cut Throat Massacre (2009). In addition to her penchant for peril, Elina has appeared in various other projects in both television and film. She worked with director David Lynch in the 2001 psychological thriller Mulholland Drive (2001) and with Tom Hanks in the comedy/drama/musical hit That Thing You Do (1996). As a co-star in the award winning feature film Barracuda and the lead heroin (Minty) in the drama Minty: The Assassin (2009), Elina has also taken the plunge into the deep character-driven waters of independent films. Essentially, this versatile actress has played everything from an abused housewife to a sexy meter-maid and is thoroughly enjoying the diversity of a multi-genre'd career.

The film brought in $86,000 (good for #38 overall) and not bad considering the entire production only cost $18,000. Playing with the house money now, gang. Congrats, guys!

Filth to Ashes Flesh to Dust In the vein of such horror classics as The Hills Have Eyes, Just Before Dawn, The Final Terror and The Forest comes Filth to Ashes, Flesh to Dust from director Paul Morrell (Texas Chainsaw Musical). Filth to Ashes, Flesh to Dust appears to pay tribute to those horror films of yesteryear through story and by capturing the intense atmosphere that made those films so memorable while carving out its own stake in the modern horror film world.

Eric survives but Shelly is murdered. A year later, A group of adventure-seeking high school grads venture to Purge's lair. Amongst them is Eric's brother Juan. Eric sets out to save his brother and get revenge on Purge.

Exclusive: Lifetime is developing a movie about the highly-publicized case of two couples involved in an IVF mix-up. Sony Pictures TV, which is producing the project, has acquired the rights to the story of Carolyn and Sean Savage and Shannon and Paul Morrell, who made headlines when a fertility clinic mistakenly implanted the Morrells' embryo into Carolyn Savage. Savage went on to give birth to a baby boy, which was then given to the other couple. Nancey Silvers, who most recently wrote Lifetime's upcoming movie William and Kate, will write the telefilm, which is based on Carolyn and Sean Savage's book Inconceivable, released today by Harper Collins, as well as Shannon and Paul Morrell's book Misconception published last spring and released in paperback 2 weeks ago. The Savages were on the Today Show this morning promoting the book, and their case was also featured on Dateline NBC on Friday.

Everyone promises "new horror icons" with their movies. Few deliver, though we must admit that Paul Morrell's new flick Filth to Ashes, Flesh to Dust does sound pretty damned promising.
The film, which prides itself on being based on the good old fashioned slasher films of the Seventies and Eighties only with a modern twist, tells the tale of lunatic who refers to himself simply as "Purge" and has tasked himself with the Herculean effort of ridding society of its weak.
Given that everyone has their own weaknesses, this broadens the spectrum for our new madman to pick and choose his prey. Speaking of which, the flick stars Crissy Moran, Linda Bella, Allison Ochmanek, Stephen Zimpel, Christina Iannuzzi, Dana Chapman, and many more potential victims.
Check out the early one-sheet and trailer below. For a bit more visit the official Filth to Ashes, Flesh to Dust website here.

Just received word, and a trailer, for the upcoming slasher film Filth to Ashes, Flesh to Dust from director Paul Morrell. Introducing Purge, a horror icon villain for the next generation... A schizophrenic serial killer with a supremacy complex convinced by the voices in his head that he must eliminate the weak and the undesirable, and cleanse society he must "Purge the Filth." Thinking that Purge is dead, six college bound friends journey into his underground lair for a little adventure. But they soon find out Purge is still alive. Each of their weaknesses exposed, only those that Purge deems worthy will survive. And even then, that may not be enough... Morrell directed Texas Chainsaw Musical as well as a number of short films. See pics and more from his...

That's the plan in the U.K. as aging buildings face the wrecking ball.
Aylesbury's County Hall may face demolition.
Britain's brutalist boom in the '60s gave the country some of its most distinctive architecture, for better or worse. The beauty of those hulking, gray concrete towers is debatable, but one thing's for sure: they ain't exactly green, and most are so cheaply built that retrofitting them with eco-friendly updates isn't worth it.
So Paul Morrell, the country's new construction advisor, has offered a sort of modest proposal: Tear them down! Trying to fix up post-war architecture is a waste of time:
In the '60s, everything was built cheaper, faster, and nastier. If you are going to try to fix buildings, then really you won't have too many problems with anything built earlier than the '50s or after the '80s.
