Gerry McColgan

Having spent 15 years with RTE, Ireland's national broadcaster, Gerry
McColgan set up the production company Crimson Films with producer
Deirdre McMahon in 1992 and has since built up an impressive list of
television and film credits with Gerry producing and directing a
diverse range of television and film product - from highly acclaimed
documentaries to light entertainment programmes (over fifty hours of
programmes within Crimson Films' first two years) and a number of
successful drama series He then set up Rapid Film with Frank Cassidy
this was established in 2002 to produce high quality feature films
using predominantly Irish writers, directors, producers, cast and crew.
Working in association with Magma Films Rapid Film is proactive in
developing, financing, producing and promoting its production slate.
Rapid Film has also formed a working partnership with Edward R.
Pressman's New York based ContentFilm and have agreed to produce up to
12 films out of Ireland over the next 3 years. In the UK Rapid Film
work closely with producers and financiers UK Film Services.
