Sheryl Smith, 26 years, is a half Mauritian, half Rodriguan Actress.
She was born, Sheryl Kimberley Smith, in Mauritius Island on the 24th of August 1995 to Liseby François, a Rodriguan lady who came to work to Mauritius and Leeds Smith, a former police man.
Raised in Mauritius, Sheryl started drama school at the age of 13 years in a Mauritian drama school called "La comédie Mauricienne".
She juggled with school life and acting, which she qualified as living the "Hannah Montana" lifestyle.
She played the roles of "Belle", "Sleeping Beauty" and much more in kids club after school.
In 2012, she won the national drama festival for second best actress for the role of "Mona Lisa" in the play "Mona Lisa" by Frederic Edouard.
She became Famous in 2013 when she auditioned to become the new host of the local weekly Lotto Draw Show on national TV.
The same year, Sheryl participated in several web series and commercials, namely for a coffee brand and MyT, the local line service.
Since Education was as important to her as her acting career, Sheryl got herself enrolled for a Bachelor Degree in Mass Media Communications which she helped her parents pay since her father had to stop working due to health issues, she managed doing three jobs at the same time to pay for her college fees.
She started hosting "Lotto dan zil" with her former mentor, Raj Gokhool in 2014.
Before completing her Degree, Sheryl got casted to join the Komiko troupe in the play "Romeo & Juliet", the play was such a success that they went on tour all around the island and on Mauritian sister Island, Rodrigues.
She played several roles with the troupe until 2018 where she joined the well-known local comedian, Vincent Duvergé in the creation of Web TV Shows.
In 2019, Sheryl got casted by Karavann Films to play Lead role in Mauritian Movie "Benediction", a Romantic movie, where she courageously breaks her perfect wedding to go with someone who does not share the same beliefs and cultural background as her family would expect.
This experience motivated her to complete her Acting Studies in prestigious French Academy, "Le cours Florent"
In the meantime, Sheryl got casted for the role of "Rosine" in the French play "Le Barbier de Séville"
Sheryl got casted for a role in German TV series "Island Doctor" where she plays a spa employee.
After years of savings, Sheryl finally went to the New York Film Academy to complete an Acting for Films program.
Later on in 2020, Sheryl Completed the shooting of "Open Ticket" where she plays a Lesbian.
Sheryl Smith & Vincent Duvergé started dating and created the web show "coco" which has been a success until now [2022]
Sheryl got cast in the Horror Series coming up on Netflix, "Pulse" where she plays character "Sibile".
Sheryl hosted the Mauritus Urban Music Awards in 2021.
In late 2021, Sheryl signed with Mokingo Talent Manager and started hosting "Backstage with Sheryl Smith" where she interviews international Artists.
