Dorothy Winslow(1903-1989)

Dorothy was born to Bert and Maude Winslow in Randle, Minnesota. Her family moved to Priest Lake, Idaho, when she was age 3. "Dot", as her friends and family called her, grew up
on the lake. When she was age 19, she entered a beauty contest. The
winner of this contest had the chance to be in a short movie shot at the
lake with silent movie star Nell Shipman. Dorothy won and starred in
Light On Lookout. Dorothy later married one of the film crew, Aubrey
Overmyer. They had a daughter together shortly before getting a
divorce. Dorothy went on to work at Big Mountain Ski Resort in
Whitefish, Montana, in it's very early days and became a postmaster for
the United States Post Office. She died December 31, 1989.
