Allan Wilmot(1925-2021)
Allan Wilmot (1925-2021) was a Jamaican-born British singer and World War II veteran who volunteered to serve in the RAF. His music group, The Southlanders, was a male singing quartet that dominated the entertainment scene from the 1950s to the early 1970s, sharing the stage with most of Britain's popular performers, including Vera Lynne, the Andrews Sisters, Petula Clark, Shirley Bassey, Cliff Richard and the Shadows, to name a few.
