X Factor hopeful Matthew Newton has revealed that he used to live on the streets but has now completely turned his life around.
The singer was featured on tonight’s show as part of boyband Fyd. They sang Plan B’s She Said for the panel and though Simon Cowell wasn’t convinced, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh were and the boys whizzed through to bootcamp.
However Matthew, who previously worked as a backing singer for Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry, has admitted that his life was not always so easy. He told The Daily Star:
“I left home when I was 17 and ended up sleeping rough in central London.
“It wasn’t my parents’ fault. I was just a bit of a difficult kid and left home one day because I didn’t want an academic career.
“At first I slept on different mates’ sofas but in the end...

Pixie Lott has revealed that she never wanted to audition for ITV’s X Factor show.
The ‘Turn It Up’ singer will stand in for pregnant judge Dannii Minogue during auditions for the show later this month but admits that she was never tempted to try out herself.
Pixie told The Guardian:
“I never wanted to enter ‘X Factor’ because I like the whole creative control thing, and wanted to work my own way up. But if I’d kept going and going, wasn’t getting anywhere and got really old, then I might consider it.”
The singer found fame herself after replying to an ad in The Stage magazine but had to wait a few years before her debut single “Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)” was released in June 2009.
She added: “It was really frustrating because I wanted to release as soon as possible. When you’re young,...

Pop songstress Pixie Lott will be a guest judge at next week’s Birmingham X Factor auditions.
As regular judge Dannii Minogue enjoys her maternity leave in Australia, Simon Cowell is busy drafting in celebrities to fill her seat on the panel. Yesterday former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell passed her judgment on the Glasgow wannabes, on Monday it will be Pixie’s turn.
A show source told The Sun: “Pixie may be young but she’s not afraid to speak her mind. She’s only been in the charts for just over a year but she already sounds like a pro.
“And unlike a lot of pop acts these days, she’s happy singing live so is well-qualified to judge the wannabes.”
The source added: “Simon was really blown away by her performance last week on Bgt and his mind was made up.”

Hayley Tamaddon, who’s currently appearing in Dancing On Ice, has told New! magazine that the punishing rehearsals and routines for the show have caused her to lose so much weight, her boobs have “disappeared.”
33 year old Hayley – ex-Emmerdale actor – and her partner Dan Whiston are currently flying high at the top of the show’s leaderboard, but according to Hayley, it’s been very hard work to get there…
She told the magazine, “I have lost my boobs – I’ve dropped about three cup sizes.
“I’m probably either a 32A or a B. And I was a 34 or 36C. They’ve magically gone.”
However, Hayley added that both she and her fiancé – Darren Charles – like the slimmed down look.
Hayley said of Darren’s opinion of her weight loss, “Oh, he loves it. He looks at pictures of me when we met and pictures of me now...

Pixie Lott gave two brilliant performances on tonight’s Dancing On Ice shows.
She opened the early performance show with an alternative rendition of Kings Of Leon’s ‘Use Somebody.’ She then sang her own single ‘Cry Me Out’ on the later results show.
We loved the mature look and elegant gown that Pixie sported tonight, almost as much as we enjoyed Leona Lewis not wearing one last night!

So You Think Can Dance star Tommy Franzén has revealed that he was orphaned at the young age of thirteen. He insists that he isn’t hoping for sympathy votes from the public, but instead hopes he can inspire young dancers in difficult situations.
Tommy’s Dad father died of a heart attack when he was 11 years old, two years later his 43-year-old mum committed suicide.
“It’s very sad and it’s been really hard,” he told The Sun. “I had just started hip-hop dancing when dad had a heart attack. I found him inside our house.
“I was with my grandmother as we were worried because he hadn’t answered our calls and he had supposed to be picking me up. My parents divorced when I was 5 and my sister Elena and I had lived with dad.

Newton, who was voted off the BBC One reality show last Saturday, claimed that the programme unfairly made her out to be complaining about being given a hip-hop routine to perform. "It was a shame that my Vt came across so negatively, because that was only 15 minutes at the end of the day," she told Digital Spy. "In the morning, I was really positive. I really, really wanted to learn hip-hop and that was (more)...

Hayley Newton and Mark Calape have become the fifth and sixth contestants to be voted off So You Think You Can Dance. The duo found themselves in the dance-off along with Mandy Montanez and Tommy Franzén and had to convince the judges to save them with a solo performance. After all four contestants had danced for the panel, judges Nigel Lythgoe, Arlene Phillips, Louise Redknapp and Sisco Gomez had to send home one male and one female. Beginning with the women, Lythgoe said that the decisions were getting tougher every week and explained that there was "very little difference" between the pair. "Hayley, you are absolutely fantastic, your routine in the bedroom [last week] shone and this week we don't fully understand why you're here in the bottom two because you had a very strong show," he said. "But in this show you have to highlight your (more)...

Howdy, Unreality TV readers! We’re planning a night of Sytycd Factor fun and games to celebrate it’s UK launch on BBC tonight.
Ok, let’s get this weird dance party started. After watching Cat Deeley strut/limp down a street for the introductory part of the show, we have to suffer the customary torture of the judges (Aka Nigel Lythgoe and Arlene Phillips) telling us how tough-but-fair they are.
First notable dancer is Roz Lynch, a girl who twirls and flails her way through a routine. Arlene and Nigel like her dancing (I didn’t), but Nigel says he wouldn’t like to lift her if he was her partner. Ok, that was tough-but-fair.
Fast-forward through some random auditions until we get heavily muscled Hugo Cortez in just his pants. And I don’t mean pants in the American sense. Nigel tells him he thinks he’s superb,...
