- Son of Martin Taylor (b.1838) and Emily Wheeler (b.1846).
- He was born in Nottinghamshire, England around 1881 and could play both piano and cello. In 1906 he married Clara Alice Lambeth. He was residing in London when recruited to serve and was 32 when the Titanic sank. It is said that he signed on to escape his unhappy marriage. His body was never recovered.
- Brother of Frederick Martin Taylor (b.1867), Henny Williams Taylor (b.1868), George Hardcastle Taylor (b.1874), Walter Guy Taylor (b.1882) and Emily Catherine (b.1885).
- Percy Cornelius Taylor, 32, was a cellist with the ship's band. He was listed as a second class passenger along with the other musicians. He gave his address as 9 Fentiman Road, Clapham, London.
