The Sandman graphic novel is, without exaggeration, Neil Gaiman's magnum opus, his most ambitious and complex work. It has won the love of many fans, spawned numerous spin-offs, won several awards, and gone through more than one reprint.
The idea of adapting The Sandman, initially as a feature film, appeared in the late 1990s, but due to creative differences the project got stuck in production hell. It was only in 2019 that a deal between Netflix and Warner Bros. was announced, which led to the long-awaited adaptation – already in the form of a series.
The Sandman, released in 2022, was a definite success – it received 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and unconditional love from fans of the comic as well as viewers unfamiliar with the original source.

The youngest and only son of the late Robert George Kardashian who he shared with ex-wife Kris Jenner, turned 37 on Sunday, March 17.
As expected, family, friends, and well-wishers poured out sweet birthday tributes to Rob Kardashian Jr. Amongst the birthday tributes shared online for the Rob & Chyna alum, Khloe Kardashian’s message was the best, and that’s probably because they grew up as more of besties than siblings.
Khloe’s message which she shared via Instagram read, “Happiest of birthdays to My baby bobby boy!” Began the “Good American” co-founder before adding, “Robert I couldn’t be prouder or more honored to say I am your sister. I couldn’t be prouder to be living life with you.”
Her message continued, “I couldn’t be luckier that I get to call you whenever I want about absolutely nothing. And the coolest part is, you actually answer the phone for me ha!

General Hospital has lost its way, and adding cast members with little to no significance to the current cast has been par for the course.
The cast is so bloated, yet many longtime fan favorites have been on the back burner for so long that what was simmering is probably stuck to the pot.
Over the years, the show has morphed from the hospital drama to being more focused on the mob scene, run by none other than Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Whether viewers want to admit it or not, he has become the face of the show. He is on nearly every day and often is the center of focus for several big storylines on the daytime drama.
However, some of us remember the days of great storylines that happened at the hospital. The nursing staff has dwindled, and the doctors are few and far between these days.

I suppose last year was one for the sports films in Korea. We got Dream, the one about an underdog football team, and now we have Rebound, a basketball one. Rebound tells the inspirational true story of the Busan Jungang High School basketball team that, against all odds, made their way to the finals of the national basketball tournament in 2012. It’s an admirable tale of camaraderie, hard work, and, most importantly, the power of hope. The story begins with Kang Yang-Hyun, an ex-basketball player, who decides to take up the job of head coach of the Jungang High School basketball team where there is no team. It’s a film about second chances titled Rebound, and it’s certainly going to motivate you to go get the rebound in whatever sport life is playing with you.
Spoilers Ahead
What Happens In The Film?

Beyoncé’s Renaissance is so much more than a concert film. It’s a superhero epic—as if Bey is filling the void left by The Marvels or Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It’s a glorious three-hour tour of the Queen in all her creative splendor, on her record-setting Renaissance World Tour from this past summer. (Read our review Here.) Season 2 of the show went into production earlier this year… but then had to be put on pause for a while due to the writers and actors strikes. With those strikes having come to an end, The Sandman season 2 has now resumed production. Netflix shared an image of Tom Sturridge and Mason Alexander Park on set, back in the roles of Dream and Desire, and that can be seen at the bottom of this article. Neil Gaiman also shared a statement, celebrating both the show being able to resume production and the 35th anniversary of the release of the first issue of Sandman.

Though :a[word arrived last year]{href='https://www.empireonline.com/movies/news/night-swims-new-trailer-theres-a-monster-in-the-swimming-pool-in-blumhouse-horror/' } that Netflix's ambitious (and rather wonderful adaptation) of Neil Gaiman's :a[The Sandman]{href='https://www.empireonline.com/tv/reviews/the-sandman/' } would be getting a second season, we've had to wait for the creative team to write the new episodes and for the cast to be available post-strike. But now we have confirmation that the new season is in production, with a new behind-the-scenes image featuring Dream (Tom Sturridge and Desire (Mason Alexander Park) and a message from Sandman comics creator Neil Gaiman.
"We never know where our dreams will take us. 35 years ago today, the first issue of The Sandman was released and set many people and characters on paths that seemed, even at the time, so unlikely as to be impossible," says Gaiman. "Back then most comics featured superheroes. Sandman wasn’t that. It wasn’t like anything else,...

Netflix has reignited the world of The Sandman, announcing the continuation of Season 2’s production in London. This development comes as a celebratory mark of the comic series’ 35th anniversary. Fans of Neil Gaiman’s imaginative universe have much to look forward to as the show picks up from its unexpected pause due to the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike.
Season 1, which premiered in August 2022, delved into the first two volumes of Gaiman’s comics, ‘Preludes & Nocturnes’ and ‘The Doll’s House.’ An extra episode also featured the stories “Dream of a Thousand Cats” and “Calliope.” The excitement doesn’t end there, as Netflix teased a behind-the-scenes photo from the set, showcasing Tom Sturridge as Dream and Mason Alexander Park as Desire, heightening anticipation for what’s to come.
Gaiman, in his letter, reflects on the journey of The Sandman, emphasizing the show’s distinctive approach in a landscape filled with superhero narratives.

What better way to celebrate the 35th anniversary of The Sandman than with news that the second season of the Netflix adaptation is filming? Netflix has announced that the series, based on the DC comics by Neil Gaiman (who serves as an executive producer), is in production on new episodes in London (it had paused due to the writers and actors’ strikes). And it just so happens to be the 35th anniversary of the original comic series! Plus, the streaming service released a behind-the-scenes photo of Tom Sturridge (Dream) and Mason Alexander Park (Desire), which you can check out above. With the news comes a letter from Gaiman: “We never know where our dreams will take us. 35 years ago today, the first issue of The Sandman was released and set many people and characters on paths that seemed, even at the time, so unlikely as to be impossible. Season 1 of “The Sandman” premiered in August of 2022 with a surprise 11th episode arriving on Netflix a week later. It’s safe to say viewers did not see ghosts coming.
It was an open question how “The Crown” was going to depict Diana’s death, perhaps the most infamous moment in modern British history. The answer? It went with straightforward melodrama, with just a hint of energies from the beyond.
Season 6 of the Netflix drama begins, literally, with the crash as a random man watches a car careen into the Paris tunnel while walking his dog. The show then flashes back eight weeks earlier, and it feels like we are on a slow march to doom until we get to Diana’s (Elizabeth Debicki) death at the end of Episode 3.
“The Crown” shows final goodbye calls between Diana and the boys, and leans heavily into the idea that Dodi and Diana were near engagement, with Dodi proposing in a Paris hotel room with a ginormous ring, and Diana turning...

If you're curious about what Rob Kardashian is up to now, you're not alone. As the sole brother to some of the most famous sisters on the planet, Rob was featured heavily on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" up until season seven (which premiered in 2012) when he decided to step off the show for a while. Since then, Rob has only appeared on camera a few times and has mostly kept his private life with his daughter, Dream, off camera. Still, according to his sister Khloé, his time on his family's reality TV franchise may not be over.
"I do think Rob will come back to the show. He talks about it a lot. He does," Khloé said during a July 13 episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians," the sequel series to "Kuwtk." "But I do know Rob has been through a lot personally, but he's literally the best dad that I know,...

Since 2018, creator group RDCWorld has organized an annual event series called Dream Con, which takes place in the group’s home state of Texas. The 2023 edition of Dream Con established several milestones for the yearly gathering: It was the first DreamCon to take place in Austin, and it drew the largest crowd in the convention’s history, with more than 20,000 attendees flocking to the Austin Convention Center.
Dream Con exists on several axes. On the surface, it’s a creator convention that provides a Texan complement to VidCon. For the members of RDCWorld, the three-day event is an opportunity to rub shoulders with like-minded creators and entertainment industry notables.
But at its core, Dream Con is a space for Black nerds — or “Blerds” — who love anime, video games, and sports. It’s a chance to hang with other members of that community and meet the people who are sharing Blerd...

It feels a little strange to say this in August, but the 2023 Streamy Awards are officially over, and they handed out a grand total of 50 awards to this year’s top creators.
This was the first year Tubefilter and dick clark productions held Streamys in the summertime, but the change of season didn’t mean everything changed: For the fourth time in a row, MrBeast took home Creator of the Year, and for the second time in a row, Kai Cenat snagged Streamer of the Year.
As for Show of the Year, that went to Michelle Khare and her daredevil series Challenge Accepted.

As for Show of the Year, that went to Michelle Khare and her daredevil series Challenge Accepted.

HBO has debuted the first trailer for Donyale Luna: Supermodel, a documentary exploring the life, career and legacy of one of the first Black models to grace the cover of a Vogue magazine.
Often considered the “first Black supermodel,” Luna — who died in 1979 at the age of 33 — broke ground at a time when it was not only still rare to see Black women who weren’t white-passing in fashion but Black women on major magazine covers at all. Through her heyday in the late ’60s and early ’70s, Luna challenged the modeling world’s conventions and made history by becoming the first Black woman on the covers of both Harper’s Bazaar in 1965 and British Vogue in 1966.
“She broke the mold of using Black models in the ’60s,” one talking head can be heard saying in the more than two-minute trailer.

The 2023 Streamy Awards honored the best in content creation on social media and Dylan Mulvaney took the trophy for Breakout Creator.
“I’m really shocked because I thought the only award I’d ever win was maybe a Tony Award but now I’m a musical theater gal with a Streamy,” the social media star said while accepting her award Sunday at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
Mulvaney went viral after receiving backlash from conservative media over promoting Bud Light.
“532 days ago, I made a coming-out video that turned into my ‘Days of Girlhood’ series, and my life has been changed for the better,” she continued. “But on the flip side, there’s also been an extreme amount of transphobia and hate, and I know that my community is feeling it.”
