Saturday’s episode of The Voice India, opened with a quick re-cap of the first two weeks of the show and a precap of this weekends show. The focus then shifted to the coaches who gave a comic breaking news update that coach Sunidhi had coach Mika’s sunglasses! I really do love watching the hilarious comic moments between the Fabulous Four!
The first contestant to perform of week three, was Snigdhajit Bhowmik who is 25 years old from Kolkata, West Bengal. Snighdajit performed ‘Dhan Te Nan’ from Kaminey. Coach Mika was the first to hit the buzzer followed by coaches Shaan, Sunidhi and Hr. All four coaches praised Snighdajit’s performance and then started their comic requests for him to join their team. Coach Hr even sang a popular Bengali phrase as Snighdajit is Bengali! After much cajoling, Snighdajit chose to be in team Shaan.
The second contestant was Garima Khiste.

Talat Mehmood, the unparallel king of ghazal needs no introduction. His super hit ghazals like Sham-E-Gham Ki Qassam ....; Jalte Hain Jiske Liye .... Aye Mere Dil Kahin Aur Chal.... are immortal and shall continue to regale ghazal lovers for centuries to come.
However, readers would be stunned to know that though Talat Mehmood, who ruled the mid-40s and the 50s as the most sought after playback singer, had to face bitter competition in the 60s from emerging new talents like Mohammad Rafi, Mukesh, Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey, Mahendra Kapoor etc.
In fact, his popularity plunged so low that film distributers declined to accept his songs and music directors had to tragically re-record the song in other singers' voice. For instance, in Dilip Kumar's movie Aadmi, music maestro Naushad had recorded a duet on Dilip Kumar and Manoj Kumar.
The song was Kaisi Haseen Aaj Bahaaron Ki Raat Hai...

Sarah Palin is packing her bags. Preparing for a 2012 campaign (perhaps), she has set her eyes on Britain and Israel, with a quick stop first in Haiti.
For a presidential candidate to be taken seriously, the first trip abroad is a rite of political passage. Ideally, it shows the candidate comfortable on the world stage, against some kind of symbolic setting.

Although it took a while before he decided on a setting, Barack Obama drew his biggest, loudest crowd in Berlin with a rousing speech during the 2008 election. And while George W. Bush might not have had too many stamps in his passport before he took office, there were at least a few trips to Mexico and one visit to Israel in 1998. Until now, Palin's travel outside the U.S. included visiting American troops in Germany and...

Download W.D.A wallpapers If you enjoy working in a film, the experience lingers in your memory for years and years. Boman Irani cherishes every moment he spent on the sets of Well Done Abba, so much so that when Shyam Benegal concluded the shooting and threw a farewell party for the cast and technicians on the sets of the film, Boman couldn't help but get moist-eyed. Boman says, he doesn't prefer outdoor shoots, since he misses his family the most. "But I thoroughly enjoyed working on this film. It's a dream to work with Shyam Babu [Benegal] at least once and I was genuinely awaiting that opportunity. And one fine day he called and said something very nice. He said, 'Boman, I have finally found something befitting your calibre'," Boman recalls. Before working with the veteran film-maker, Boman was under the impression that Shyam Babu was a strict disciplinarian.

None in their senses will ever question a director of the caliber of Shyam Benegal when it comes to making films, but when Shyam Babu (as he is fondly referred to) decided to make a comedy, quite a few .idiots' (in the real sense!) did question his decision. After all this was man who had made such serious films like Mandi, Ankur, Manthan and Junoon etc. to name a few, and so expecting a comedy from him was a bit too much. But creativity knows no bounds and Shyam Benegal proved the...

And once he starts speaking, you can almost feel that ‘buzz’ too, because he just can’t stop talking. There is many reason for his excitement, firstly is the Dubai Film Festival he will be going for.
Says Sammir; “Right now, I’m looking forward to going to Dubai for the Film Festival on December 9 where Mr Shyam Benegal’s ‘Well Done Abba’ is being screened. To be part of a film by Shyam Babu is any actor’s dream come true. The experience was fabulous the people.

Ah, the formerly-dreaded Survivor recap episode. We used to mock it even more than gratuitous Palm Pre product placement. But then something unusual happened during the Tocantins season. The recap episode became less of a recap and more of a collection of deleted scenes and storylines. And some of those deleted scenes and storylines were actually pretty decent. So it was with moderate hope as opposed to unwavering boredom that I approached the Survivor: Samoa Thanksgiving recap episode. And that moderate hope was rewarded…with moderate entertainment! In case you were too busy stuffing your face with, um, stuffing, click...

Call it a rishta by satellite. But prolific filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi is related to Deepika Padukone. "We're both descendents of the great Guru Dutt. Deepika and I are Saraswat Brahmins. Her family and mine can be traced back to Kashmir. We're basically evicted Kashmiri Pundits who migrated to Bangalore. If you remember my uncle Guru Dutt (who was my mother painter Lalita Lajmi's brother) and Deepika's father Prakash Padukone are both settled in Bangalore. Deepika is definitely related to me. Though she doesn't know it. But I hope she knows about me" And now Kalpana has a script ready for Deepika. "I saw her in Om Shanti Om and Bachna Ae Haseeno and found her to possess that old-world grace which came naturally to Madhuri and Aishwarya. I don't think any other girl today has that quality. I was once planning to cast Aishwarya as a politician in Singhasan. I'd...
