Exclusive: Wrigley Media Group, which is looking to bolster production opportunities in Kentucky, has named Joe Livecchi as CEO.
Livecchi previously founded production company Noble Savages, which was behind A&e’s Alaska Pd, History’s Save It Or Sell It and Fyi’s Question of Love, and before that he was SVP, Development at Viacom-owned CMT, where he was behind Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Ranch, American Speed: The True Story of Nascar, and the scripted series Sun Records.
It comes after a new version of Kentucky’s film and TV tax incentive went into effect last year, meaning that it now offers producers a 30-40% refund on projects filmed in the state.

Streaming channels specialist TV4 Entertainment has launched Concrete Club as an independent original content studio, Variety has learned exclusively.
The genre-based studio will develop, produce and distribute feature films and television series targeting underserved, global audiences for all screens. The new studio is touted as an extension of TV4 Entertainment’s portfolio of genre-based lifestyle, entertainment, and sports over-the-top streaming channels.
Concrete Club said Thursday it will create originals in the genres of existing and planned global streaming brands and use TV4 Entertainment’s channels as a development pipeline and guaranteed distribution for Concrete Club productions.
Concrete Club’s first theatrical release will be “Together,” opening June 15 at every Odeon Cinema across England, Scotland and Wales — making it one of the largest independent, self-distributed opening releases in U.K. history. Exclusive: Cmt has picked up Win Lose Or Pawn, the cable network’s first daily series, which will be launched as a strip this summer. The format, which is a twist on the pawn shop reality craze, was created by veteran reality producer Phil Gurin of The Gurin Co. (Shark Tank, Oh Sit) and Eric Evangelista of Hot Snakes Media, who will both serve as executive producers, along with Cmt’s Jayson Dinsmore, Joe Livecchi and Eliot Goldberg. Casting is currently underway in Southern California, with the series looking for people who have objects to pawn or want an item appraised.

Cmt today announced that Jordan Harman has been named the network’s new VP of Programming Development based at Viacom Media Network headquarters in New York. Harman will report to Joe Livecchi, Svp, Development, effectively immediately. Cmt’s West Coast development team of Melanie Moreau and Eliot Goldberg will also continue to report to Livecchi. Harman comes to Cmt from Scripps where he spent six years as director of programming and development for the Food Network and the Cooking Channel.

Joe Livecchi held a development post at BBC Worldwide, was an executive producer at Endemol USA and is the exec producer/owner of Majority Rules Media, which has an output deal with ITV Studios and sold shows to the likes of CBS, A&E, History Channel, Travel Channel, VH1, The Food Network and TLC. At Cmt he will take on the newly created position of Svp Development, where he will oversee multiple development teams as well as external and third-party productions for the network. Cmt’s West Coast development team of Claire McCabe, Melanie Moreau and Eliot Goldberg will report to Livecchi, who will be in New York and report to Evp Development and Programming Jayson Dinsmore. Cmt has been expanding its original programming of late, recently greenlighting 10 episodes of an unscripted series starring Dog the Bounty Hunter and gave the go-ahead to four other series back in July.

The network has greenlighted Buried Treasure, a new unscripted series starring antiques experts and appraisers Leigh and Leslie Keno (identical twin brothers of Antiques Roadshow fame), who travel across the country to help people sell collectibles lying around their homes.
