King Louie, the Chicago drill rapper often cited for creating the terms "Chiraq" and "Drillinois," was shot in the head Wednesday in the city's Ashburn neighborhood, according to reports. Police, as well as the artist's management, told the Sun-Times that Louie (a.k.a. King L and Louis Johnson) was "awake and talking" in stabilized condition afterward. The 27-year-old had been rushed to a medical center after an unidentified gunman came up to his vehicle, shot him in the left side of the head, and fled earlier that afternoon. The Tribune noted that there had been a handful of separate Wednesday shootings, which left two dead and four others wounded across the city, and that police were still investigating. Other details about Louie's incident were not immediately available. But the rapper, who had recently made noise for releasing "Fuck Spike Lee," tied to the filmmaker's Chi-Raq project, was accumulating well...

Well that’s another game and another loss for Newcastle United in pre-season. The 2-1 defeat to York City at Bootham Crescent means that, with just one fixture left against Borussia Mönchengladbach at St James’ Park on Saturday, the Magpies have lost three, drawn one and won just two of their pre-season matches to date.
New signing Aleksandar Mitrovic may have made his Magpies debut, but it was one to forget as the Magpies succumbed to their third pre-season loss in six matches in front of 2,048 travelling supporters – and that despite birthday boy Ayoze Perez grabbing his first goal of pre-season.
Strikes from Anthony Straker and trialist Reece Thompson were enough to hand York City a 2-1 victory and leave Steve McClaren scratching his head and continuing to search for a formula to resolve the defensive deficiencies that are still all too prevalent in his side.

It’s been the same old story every match for Newcastle United this season – and, perhaps unsurprisingly, this one was no different.

Strangely, McClaren named just four substitutes at Bootham Crescent – with 17-year-old forward Louis Johnson and defender Lewis Suddick, grandson of former Magpie Alan, among them – possibly sending out a message...

The opposition may have been different but Newcastle United were very much the same as they have been defensively all throughout the pre-season campaign – woeful.

You may know Louis Johnson and Jordan Meredith best for their appearance on MTV's My Life as Liz, but the folk-pop duo that makes up Augustine has been making music together for a while now. They met in St. Augustine, Florida (get it?) a few years ago and quickly bonded over their shared passion. Both Louis and Jordan have been performing since they were young and now Augustine is busy touring the country and recording new music.
