Chrissy Aung is a Burmese-American Transgender actress and activist. Chrissy immigrated to the U.S. from Myanmar (Burma) in the late-1990s and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She completed her education, graduating from the University of La Verne in 2000.
Chrissy's acting debut began when she was casted as a supporting actress in the first ever US & Myanmar joint production feature film, "Unbroken Ties" aka "Myittar." She is also a leading actor in the short films Indulgence (2023) and Imperfectly Complete(2021), both of which have been selected at several Oscar and BAFTA qualifying film festivals.
She is also a dedicated LGBTQ rights activist and has been invited as a guest speaker at numerous events, which include International NGO organizations, CNN (Thailand), BBC and VOA. Date: 10/16/23
