Grimmfest keep on delivering the goods despite a worldwide pandemic. Their latest treat comes along with the May Bank Holiday and includes Cody Calahan’s latest movie Vicious Fun.
Set in the eighties, the crazy story has us follow a horror movie journalist (instantly relatable to a big chunk of this films audience!) who somehow ends up in a self-help group for serial killers. When his attempts at blending in don’t go to plan he has to work out a way to survive… I’m glad the word fun is in the title of this movie. It is often something that people seem to think is a less than positive way of describing films. But I love films that are fun and it is a perfect description here.

Watch this exclusive sneak peek of Maya's performance on the Oct. 26 episode of 'Degrassi.' We all know Maya (Olivia Scriven) is crazy about Cam (Dylan Everett) — but is he the one she's singing about in this clip from the 300th episode of Degrassi? Either way, Mo (Jake Neayem) doesn't think she's got the sex appeal necessary for Whisper Hug to win the battle of the bands, so he suggests Imogen (Cristine Prosperi) take over the vocals, herself. Ouch! Maya later receives a much-needed injection of self-esteem from Bff Tori (Alex Steele) — but as Alex tells HollywoodLife.com, the well-intended plan sort of backfires in Tori's face. "Tori thinks Maya needs a little confidence boost, so she gives her a makeover … and she maybe boosts it a little too much," Alex teases. I'll have more scoop on Tori and Maya's fractured friendship tomorrow, but for now, enjoy the clip from...

New cast tells MTV News which 'Degrassi' alums they look up to most.

The cast of "Degrassi"
"Degrassi" has become quite the starting-off point for some of the biggest stars on the planet. It launched this little-known rapper who goes by Drake and two of the CW's biggest stars, "Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev and "90210" star Shenae Grimes.
So, when several of the classic franchise's new class stopped by MTV News, we wondered just which alum's career path they'd love to follow.
"I'd love to do this, all the time. I just love to do acting," Munro Chambers told us just as the new season of the show was hitting TeenNick, before joking, "I'd love to be Nina. I'd love to do more stuff in this industry and keep doing it."

It may not be September, but Degrassi is back for a new school year.
When the show last aired (actually in September), we bid a sad farewell to Sav, Holly J and Anya, among others, who graduated. For those in the cast sticking around, the midseason finale wasn't too joyous. Adam was shot by a party-crashing gang member, Clare was dumped by Jake and made peace with her ex Eli (Munro Chambers). As the new season kicks off, TVGuide.com asked Chambers and newbie Alex Steele, who plays overachiever Tori, about what new calamities we can expect.

If one of the new Grade 9 students in tonight's "Degrassi: The Next Generation" season premiere on TeenNick looked familiar, don't worry -- you're not going crazy.
Alex Steele has joined the series as pageant princess Tori Santamaria, a freshman trombone player with a thing for the new bad boy in town, Zig (Ricardo Hoyos).
Of course, it's not the first time Alex Steele has appeared on the series. Longtime fans of "Degrassi" will remember her as Angela Jeremiah, Craig's little sister and Joey Jeremiah's daughter. Alex's last appearance as Angela was in 2006. Her real-life older sister, Cassie Steele, played Manny Santos on "Degrassi" for 10 years.
We've got our fingers crossed that Alex's reappearance on the series could potentially lead to a Manny cameo, but we won't hold our breath for that one. Cassie is currently busy starring alongside Jewel Staite in "La Complex," a Canadian series coming to The CW for U.

The bosses at Glee are still trying to figure out what to do with their graduating seniors. What they should do is take a cue from Degrassi — the Canadian drama now has the formula down pat. For the past few seasons it has (more or less) let its matriculating students head off to unseen colleges and replenished the high school’s halls with a crop of equally intriguing underclassmen. This year is no exception: Six characters (including fan favorite Holly J., played by Charlotte Arnold) will leave Degrassi when it ends its four-night-a-week, telenovela-esque summer run on Teen Nick early next month.
