- In 2019 Tim Clark and the Buffalo Niagara Film Office were nominated for most outstanding film commission in the world at the 6th annual Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
- In 2020, Tim Clark was elected Chairman of the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI). The organization represents over 300 film offices throughout the world.
- In the movie Cold Brook (2018), Director/Writer William Fichtner named the character of a local TV news anchor "Kit Clark," which he says is a nod to Tim Clark, the Buffalo Niagara Film Commissioner.
- In the 1980's Tim Clark worked as a news executive at the ABC-TV affiliate in Buffalo, WKBW Eyewitness News. While there, he asked the late actor John Candy to do be interviewed by the station while the actor was shooting the movie Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987) in Buffalo. Candy was a big fan of Eyewitness News which he watched while growing up in nearby Toronto and agreed to the interview if he could talk on the phone to longtime local anchorman Irv Weinstein whom Candy loved. Clark arranged the call and Candy made good on his promise of an exclusive interview.
- In June of 2021, Tim Clark was recognized by the Hispanic Heritage Council of Western New York for bringing Univision Network's international morning show "Despierta America Live" to Niagara Falls. He received their prestigious "Friend of Hispanic Heritage Awareness" award at thee organizations annual breakfast.
