Here's a beautifully shot short film called The Forge that was made to send out a positive anti-suicide message. It's done in a visually explosive way. The movie was written and directed by Stephen Reedy, and it was inspired by the death of the sister of the film's star Eric Lim. She took her own life. This may be influenced by a tragic event, but this delivers an inspiring message of hope for anyone that is hurting, and it's told in a very stunning way. Here's a message from the director,
The Forge, an emotional, anti-suicide message in which a man battles his inner demon in a fight for his life.
You see... our friend’s sister, Tanya Lim, killed herself, leaving behind her savings to her brother and aspiring movie producer Eric. Eric felt the only appropriate use of this tragic gift was to make something both in her...

That Russian meteorite that blasted through Russia last week was one of the craziest things that I've ever seen! It completely blew my mind. At first I thought is was one of those fake videos, and I was shocked when I found out it really happened. I can't even imagine what it would have been like in person. It probably would have scared the hell out of me! The footage that was captured was stunning, and filmmaker Nathan Fackrell took that footage and edited it together into an awesome trailer he calls Russian Meteorite: The Movie. It's cut together very well, and it includes the musical score from Inception called "Mind Heist." I'm pretty sure you will enjoy this...

Here's a great short film called Blood-o-Ween that we got a chance to see up in Park City at the Slamdance Film Festival recently. This is a great mockumentary directed by Nathan Fackrell that follows a couple of friends, Chaz and Reginald, who set out on a journey to make their own scary Halloween sound effects tape so they can distribute it. "Through the process the duo are faced with a variety of hilarious scenarios, hoping to come away with a product that will truly make your ears bleed guts!!!"
This was a very entertaining short that had me and the rest of the audience laughing. It's got a fun story and a great cast of characters. I can easily see this getting the feature film treatment. There's also some great quotable one-liners. Check out the short below and let us know what you think of it! ...
