It’s Monday so you know what that means, it’s time for our weekly review of Aew: Rampage! This week’s show was broadcast from the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia and featured Excalibur, Chris Jericho and Tony Schiavone on commentary. Now let’s get to the review…
Match #1: Orange Cassidy & Trent Beretta def. Kip Sabian & The Butcher The following is courtesy of allelitewwrestling.com:
The Butcher backed Trent into the turnbuckles. Trent charged at Butch, but Butch shoved Trent right to the mat. Trent fired back with a forearm to Butcher’s head. Butcher dished out his own forearm and staggered Trent. Butcher bulldozed Trent with a big shoulder tackle. Kip tagged in but Trent sent Kip flying with a huge back body drop. Orange grabbed a tag and he and Trent connected with double shoulder tackles on Sabian. Cassidy spiked Kip with a Ddt. Butcher came in and powerslammed Orange,...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew’s latest television show, Collision, which brings wrestling back to Saturday nights! We’ve got the commentary team of Nigel McGuinness and Kevin Kelly calling the action this week, so let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Aew International Championship Match – Jon Moxley def. Action Andretti The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Moxley blasted Andretti with a chop in the corner. Mox cracked Action with a forearm. Moxley extended his leg, booting Andretti in the face. Action surprised Moxley with a tope suicida. Moxley hammered away with headbutts. Andretti clipped Mox with a dropkick. Action flipped over the ropes and crashed onto Moxley. The champ charged at Andretti, but Andretti dodged him, and Moxley’s own momentum forced him into the steel ring steps. Moxley rallied back with a wild dive through the ropes to Action. Andretti fought back with a Falcon Arrow.

Match #1: Aew World Trios Championship Match The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks – Nick & Matt Jackson) def. Ethan Page, Isiah Kassidy, & Matt Hardy The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Isiah Kassidy worked over Nick’s arm but Nick escaped and hit a twisting arm drag off the top rope. Nick tagged in Matt Jackson and the Bucks used their tandem offense on Kassidy. Kenny Omega and Matt Jackson tagged in for their respective teams. They locked up and Hardy hit a shoulder block. Omega avoided a Side Effect from Hardy. Matt Hardy was looking to jump off the top rope onto Ethan Page when Page stole the glory, knocking down Omega.

Match #1: Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley def. Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Top Flight were looking to keep their momentum from 2022 going strong as they took it to Mox early on. Danielson grabbed a blind tag and kicked and chopped away at Dante in the corner. Danielson and Moxley and Top Flight traded strikes in the center of the ring. It broke down into a brawl at ringside.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which is another stacked 10-match card; which is one less match than last week I suppose… On with the review!
Match #1: Marina Shafir def. Sio Nieves
My Thoughts: We’re in quasi-squash territory for this one. Unfortunately Shafir hasn’t lived up to her potential so far but there’s still time for her to develop in matches like this or… Maybe its time to get Shafir a manager as a mouth piece? Her in-rings skills are fine but she seems to get distracted by the storytelling aspects of wrestling.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Ari Daivari def. Ar Fox
My Thoughts: This was a great match between two guys that are always seemingly under most fan’s radar(s). This was a fantastic display of technical wrestling from Daivari and Fox. I may not like Daivari’s new faction but...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which emanates from Aew Universal once again. We’ve got Taz and Excalibur on commentary as usual so let’s get to the action!
Match #1: Ari Daivari def. Fuego Del Sol
My Thoughts: Loved this match. Fuego looked like a badass for once, taking it to Ari – who really took a beating in this match, the antithesis of how we’ve seen him recently in Aew. Eventually Ari cheated to get the win as all heels do. Surprisingly great match to open Dark.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Willow Nightingale def. Robyn Renegade
My Thoughts: What’s not to love about a match featuring Willow Nightingale? Imho, she needs to be signed with a major promotion Asap, she’s got the personality, the charisma and the skills and every crowd she wrestles in front of Loves her! Plus the Renegade twins...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. Once again we’ve got Excalibur, Caprice Coleman and Mark Henry on commentary and I’m digging the switch-ups we’ve had on the commentary team in recent weeks… Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Angelico and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) def. Ar Fox, Liam Gray and Adrian Alanis
My Thoughts: There was nothing remarkable about this match as Private Party continue to coast along and not live up to the hype of their signing back at the beginning of Aew. In fact, Private Party on Being the Elite is Better than Private Party in the ring! So in the end we get an average score for an average match.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dark which comes from Aew Universal and features nine matches this week. Once again we’ve got the winning team of Taz and Excalibur on commentary… Let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Kris Statlander def. Avery Breaux
My Thoughts: We open this week’s Dark with one of Aew signature matches. The quasi-squash. With Kris Statlander in control of this one, giving Breux just enough time to get in a modicum of offence. What really marked this match out was the silence… This Aew Universal crowd were quiet. Like really quiet for this match!
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard & “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker def. Eli Isom & Tug Cooper

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which this week emanated from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. Let’s get to it!
Match #1: Trios Tag Match – The Blackpool Combat Club def. The Gunn Club The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
William Regal joined the commentary team for this match. Yuta got caught with a big right hand across the jaw from Austin, and then Austin swept out Yuta’s ankle. Yuta countered a flipping neck breaker from Austin. Yuta had Austin’s dropkick scouted too and Yuta began to ground and pound Austin Gunn. Danielson tagged in and applied the Romero Special to Colten. Billy Gunn tagged in but Bryan cracked Billy with a big high boot in the jaw. Billy fired back with an elbow to Bryan’s jaw.

It’s Monday so you know what that means… yes, it’s time, for our Aew: Rampage review! This weeks episode emanated from the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Let’s get right into the action!
Match #1: The Young Bucks def. Roppongi Vice The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Trent back elbowed Nick Jackson, who found himself on the outside of the ring. Rocky came over with a hurracanrana on Nick. Roppongi Vice ping ponged Nick back and forth with their tandem offense. They followed up with stereo knee strikes on Matt Jackson. The Young Bucks left the ring with Brandon Cutler. Roppongi Vice chased after the Bucks but the Bucks were playing possum and blasted Roppongi Vice with superkicks! The Bucks sprinted back to the ring to try to win via count out. Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, which once again emanates from Aew Universal and features a whopping 13 matches – including the second outing for Bear Country this week, obviously building to Bear Bronson’s one-on-one match against Hook on this weeks Rampage. With Excalibur and Taz on comentary Jones as usual, let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Gunn Club def. Lee Johnson & Brock Anderson
My Thoughts: I have my issues with the Gunn Club, especially when they turned heel, but I have to give them credit here – they looked really good and made Anderson and Johnson look good too. This one was a real back and forth, so much so that you really couldn’t judge who wa going to win this one. The heels stole it (literally), which is a good thing as that leads to a possible rematch/feud going forward.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Abadon def.

Hello and welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark… Didn’t Tony Khan saw one of the tow “Dark” shows was going to change now they’re back on the road? Doesn’t look like it to me. In fact it looks like we’re back to overly-long, overly-average episodes of Dark and Elevation. See for yourself:
Match #1: Matt Hardy def. Jah-c
My Thoughts: As usual Matt hardy looks clumsy throughout this match, with Jah-c making him look even slower than usual with his fast-pace, quick-footed style. Oh, and don’t get me started on the stupid f**king degradation of new Hfo member Jora Johl… its toally f**king embarassing and Imho shouldn’t be on TV in 2021.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Foxx Vinyer

Welcome to this weeks episode of Aew Dark: Elevation, I’m editor Phil and let’s get straight to it, with no messing – much like Elevation itself!
Match #1: Ftr def. Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson
My Thoughts: Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson had a pretty decent showing here thanks to Ftr giving them some leeway to show off. A couplke of spots looked a little too telegraphed but otherwise this was a decent hard-hitting Wrestling match as per most of Ftr’s matches.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Nyla Rose def. Delmi Exo
My Thoughts: Another Nyla squash. Anyone else wishing she’d face an actual opponent these days? Another case of linger intro than match!
My Score: 0 out of 5 Match #3: The Acclaimed def. Baron Black and Tamilian Vineesh

Welcome to this week’s column of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Mr. Rogers here with us. Mr. Rogers: Hello my television neighbor. I wanted to talk to you about violence. When people watch violence, that doesn’t make them violent. Violence is wanting to be violent and then choosing to be violent. When you watch wrestling, you are watching it because you want to watch wrestling. Watching wrestling doesn’t always have a meaning besides wanting to watch wrestling. Wrestling can be fun, but we should always remember that wrestling can hurt the people that do it, because it is violent. When wrestlers get hurt, that’s not your fault. However, you should always try to empathize with them when they are in pain. Mr. Robinson: Hello boys and girls! I’m in pain listening to this old-ass...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which is the first (I think) to be filmed in front of a huge live crowd and deals with the fallout from this past weekend’s Double or Nothing. And in a real shocker… this episode is not even Ninety minutes long!
Match #1: The Acclaimed – Max Caster and Anthony Bowens def. Brent & Brandon Tate
My Thoughts: The Acclaimed delivered yet another great match against twins, and current Ovw Tag Team Champions Brent & Brandon Tate – how displayed just why they are champs. Though it was enough for the fluid tag team work of Bowens and Caster.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Leyla Hirsch def. Robyn Renegade
My Thoughts: So, so glad that the live crowd at the taping of this match popped for Leyla Hirsch – I’ve always said she’s one of my favourite Aew stars and it now...

Welcome to this return of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this simplified version of the column shall encompass all of the major reviews on the site and serve as the exclusive debut of many of the leagues’ different reviews, including the Major League Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, National Wrestling Alliance, Nxt UK and 205 Live, along with my versions of the two Aew: Dark reviews and the debut of New Japan Strong. These promotions will have their matches scored and the best match of the week will be named before we wrap-up with a verdict on the week in wrestling overall. Okay. Let’s kick some ass. Melvin McMelvin: You cannot say such things! Me: Who the f—k are you? McM: I am Melvin McMelvin, attorney for the Internetal Protectorate! I represent the decency of the internet! Welcome to this weeks sub-2 hour long Aew Dark: Elevation… I say that because Aew literally put “almost 2 hours of wrestling” in the title of the show on YouTube! Hey, at least if they do that we know what to expect upfront. Let’s get to it…
Match #1: Qt Marshall def. Robo
My Thoughts: Despite Paul Wight saying on commentary that this match featured a “valiant effort by Robo,” this was a squash. And a bad squash at that. This is the kind of wasted TV time that could easily be cut and make Elevation a trimmer, faster, Shorter show.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Abadon def. Leila Grey
My Thoughts: Yet another squash match. Abadon made short work of Leila Grey who only got in a couple of punches and a kick in the corner in the entire match! Otherwise Abadon threw Grey around like a ragdoll.
