The video shoot for Rm’s latest single, “Come Back to Me,” took an unexpected turn when the BTS member had to make a stop at the hospital following an injury on set. He only needed a few stitches, but video director Lee Sung Jin told The Hollywood Reporter that the incident felt far more serious to him.
“He bent down and his head hit the camera and it was a giant gash on his eye,” the director and Beef creator explained. “Immediately I thought, ‘Oh great, I’m going...

Beef creator Lee Sung Jin says he’s enjoying the opportunities his Emmy-winning Netflix series has brought him — including his latest project: directing a music video for BTS superstar Rm.
Lee collaborated with Rm on “Come Back to Me,” a beautifully shot six-minute music video that feels like a short film. The song, which begins with an acoustic vibe and includes whistle sounds and guitar riffs, was released Friday and is a departure for the BTS member. The song appears on his upcoming sophomore solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, out May 24.
“It’s so sneakily catchy. I heard it once and then all day long I was humming it to myself. I’m like, ‘Man, that is an earworm. It just gets in there,’” Lee says of the song.
“I was really surprised because it [had] such a different aesthetic and tone and a different side of Rm that I hadn’t seen before,...

As we have mentioned many times recently, Korea's Weird Wave is definitely having a moment right now, with titles that can only be described with the particular word coming one after the other. Slow-burning, road movie of sorts, family drama of sorts, winner of the Cgv Arthouse Award at the latest Busan International Film Festival “Chorokbam” also falls under the “category”.

Leaving the city for rural areas has been a recent trend for many, from youthful hipsters to superstars who decide to withdraw at some farm away from the noise and the crowds of the city. For the rich, this life occasionally can work out quite nicely, but the majority of people who also have to make a living by working in some farm find it rather difficult, and also have to face a number of social issues that derive from the mentality of the small, secluded communities, whose people are rarely open minded, to say the least. Park Kun-young presents such a story, implementing a number of twists that also comment on the concept of family.

This is not a happy family. Dad (Tae-hoon Lee) works a night security guard shift that makes it so he arrives home as Mom (Min-Kyung Kim) leaves to dry peppers in the sun the next morning. He wants quiet. She wants support. They ultimately sit in silence while eating. Their son (Kang Gil-woo) works as an aide for the disabled, driving around and taking care of patients on the way to their appointments. He doesn’t make much—at least not enough for a permanent place to stay with his fiancée (Kim Guk-Hee). Instead they spend their nights in cheap hotels, paying more than they’d like yet not enough to pivot towards a mortgage. It’s take-out dinners and quiet evenings, every day a repetitive reminder of the unavoidable monotony.
