Ducca Rios is a screenwriter, director, illustrator and musician. He graduated in social communication, specialized in Computer Graphics and has a master's degree in Social Policies. He worked for many years with publicity and advertising, acting as art director, copywriter and creative director, until opening, in partnership with Maria Luiza Barros, the Origem Content Production, animation studio and production company that has made several animation series and award-winning films at major festivals dedicated to children in Brasil, such as FICI, Florianópolis Children's Film Exhibition and Granimado. He is leader of the creative core Anima Bahia, a pioneer in Brazil in the development of animated series and whose financial resources, from the FSA, were renewed since all the projects carried out were commercially viable in less than a year. Ducca was also the script coordinator for the creative core TV Show, led by Doc Comparato, and today he directs and co-produces films and series in Brazil, Mexico and Portugal. His first feature "My Uncle José" was finalist in Annecy Animation Festival 2021, finalist in the Quirino Awards - main prize for Ibero-american animation -, official selection in Anima Córdoba 2021, Rabat International Author Film Festival, Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo, Festival do Rio, Spark Animation, Animae Caribe, Stockholm, BIFF and much more. The film won until today as best animation feature in FICIMAD, Animation Studio Festival and Vancouver Independent Film Festival 2021/may. Currently Ducca is directing / producing his second feature, "The Flock", co-producing with Mexico the wonderful "La Marca del Jaguar" and raising funds for his third feature "The Legend of Brave Lee".
