- Christine Boutin was born on February 6, 1944 in Levroux, Indre, France.
- Candidate in 2002 French Presidential election. Achieved 15th position out of 16 candidates in the first round of French presidential elections (1.19% of voters) [21 April 2002].
- Deputy of French National Assembly since 1986.
- Deeply Catholic, she became famous in 1998 as a strong opponent against the law instituting the Pacte Civil de Solidarité (PACS, French civil union).
- She was minister of housing (2007-2009) during Nicolas Sarkozy's presidency. She is now honorary president of the tiny French Christian democratic party (PCD).
- She will no longer be a councilor in the Yvelines department assembly on the 1rst of November 2017.
