Emergence Entertainment was founded by CEO Mark Kratter as an
all-purpose entertainment company devoted to developing feature films,
television programs, and video games.
Kratter graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in English, as well as a minor in Creative Writing. He also has an extensive background in business, including experience in Venture Capital Financing and securities trading.
In addition to producing feature films such as "The Fly Fisher" (directed by John Stockwell)and many unscripted programs (including "Hang Men" for the Discovery Channel), he also works as a screenwriter and has written scripts-for-hire for other producers, including Clark Peterson ("Monster" with Charlize Theron), Stephen L'Heureux ("Sin City 2") and Steve Jones ("You Don't Know Jack" with Al Pacino).
He lives in Beverly Hills and is represented by William Morris Endeavor and Ken Keller of Keller, Sloan, Roman & Holland LLP.
