Brett William Knickrehm, (born April 26, 1989) is an American animator, writer, director, and voice actor. He is best known for creating the animated comedy series, Welcome to Melville, as well as his on-stage magician persona, Banana Fingers, in which he performs magic tricks while holding plantains.
Banana Fingers was born in Davenport, Iowa, but attributes Centerville, Ohio as his hometown, as that is where he was raised and spent the majority of his youth and early adulthood. Centerville is also where he met his longtime writing partner and Welcome to Melville co-creator, Andrew Mitchell.
Fingers resides in Longmont, Colorado, working as a video editor for LFP Broadcasting as well as a producer for Whales With Legs LLC. He is married to Jaclyn Steinacker, founder of the fashion brand, Culture West, under Colorado Common Law. The two do not intend to have children, but do have two dogs and a cat; Dexter, Yoti, and Tofu.
