Besides being a competitor on the popular TV show, American Ninja Warrior Jr, he is also known for doing extreme sports such as surfing, skimboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding, MMA, parkour and wheelies. Cairo earned the title of Costa Rican Grom of the Year for Skimboarding in 2018, and landed print campaigns such as Puma and Champion.
He was first dubbed an athletic "prodigy," by Whistle Sports, who filmed the mini-documentary "No Days Off," about his abilities, and he was the lead in a comedic series by "Got Milk," featuring Spice Adams.
Cairo was asked to be part of the controversial music video "Ain't No Peace," with music artist Akon, and played young Pedro in the original Sony production of "Buena Suerte" by Pedro Capo.
Diagnosed with dyslexia at age 7, he became very passionate about telling his story to help others. His advocacy has reached classrooms as far as India, Costa Rica, and even Portugal who included his story in their school textbooks. Because of this, Cairo was highlighted at the Asia Pacific Dyslexia Forum 2021 in Japan. In 2023, Cairo proudly worked with the non-profit organization Understood.org to raise awareness of dyslexia.
His accomplishments led to Cairo being a recipient of the 2022 Global Child Prodigy Awards in Dubai. A native New Yorker living in Florida, Cairo plans to attend Temple University's film school in Philadelphia where he can learn the production side of films. He has been awarded the distinguished Provost Scholarship, which "recognizes and supports high-achieving students who have demonstrated exceptional academic excellence, leadership skills, and community involvement."
Cairo's ethnicity is a very diverse mix of Puerto Rican, European, West African, and even Native American. His step-father is Sikh from New Delhi, so he has been raised closely with the traditions of India, as well. His family instilled a passion for travel at a very young age. He spent much of his childhood in Costa Rica, and loves visiting India, especially Rishikesh during Holi.
When he is not on-set, Cairo is a lifeguard and swim instructor.
