Aiman Mukhtiar is an actor, screenplay writer and producer, based in Mumbai.
She graduated from the One Year Conservatory Program for Method Acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, NYC in 2019. There, she also trained in Singing, Dance and Musical Theatre.
Aiman worked in New York for a while, in theatre and with a sketch comedy group that explored long-form and dramatic improvisation.
Aiman played the lead in 'Lilkee' and a tele-film 'Good Night Daddy' as a child actor. Between 2019-2023, Aiman wrote and played the lead in three independent, darkly comedic chamber films 'Mumu Shelley', 'Kitty Kelly Ki Diwali' and 'Chalti Kya Khandala'. She also did the costumes and art direction for these. The films reflect her interest in the crazy, intimate world of women.
Aiman has also developed two romantic comedy feature scripts.
Aiman worked in Jeff Baron's play 'What Goes Around' and featured as the lead in a music video 'Roshni' with popular contemporary artists Ritviz, SickFlip and Seedhe Maut. She also played the lead in a short film 'Aaj Shanibar'.
Aiman, an honour student at school, graduated top of her class in Architecture and Environmental Studies from the Kamala Raheja Institute of Architecture and Environmental Studies, Mumbai in 2016. She taught Allied Design for a year at her alma mater, focusing on designing with mixed media.
She was part of the prestigious exchange programs Urban Lab Plus at the University College of London in 2015 and the Experimental and Design Studio in Tunghai University, Taiwan in 2014. She also interned with the internationally renowned Fieldoffice Architects, Taiwan under Dr. Huang Sheng-Yuan in 2015.
