- Infielder with the Boston Red Sox (1915-1917 & 1919-1920), New York Yankees (1921-1924), and Washington Senators (1925). Served in WWI with U.S. Army in 1918.
- Made major league debut on 21 April 1915; played in final major league game on 12 June 1925.
- In the first game of the 1921 World Series, he stole home plate in the fifth inning against New York Giants' pitcher Phil Douglas. The New York Yankees' third base coach at the time was Babe Ruth. (October 5, 1921)
- Interred in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton, Pennsylvania.
- Director of the Cleveland Indians' farm (minor league) system, 1951-1958.
