- TriviaActor, he was a member of theater groups directed by Jacques Copeau. Using the stage name Gilles, he became later member of a duo called "Gilles et Julien" with Aman Maistre Julien. Becoming famous as a librettist and a composer, he directed cabarets in Paris and Lausanne where he continued to perform.
