- Jonathan Murphy, from Arlington, Texas, is an award-winning producer, actor, writer, and founder of Hollow Tree Productions with over 20 years dedicated to the entertainment industry. His projects have screened in competition at top-tier festivals across America. His feature film writing/ producing debut, Animal Among Us, received multiple awards, including Die Laughing and Northern Horror's Best Film Award.
Jonathan has also served in positions of artistic education instructor and director at Dallas Academy of Music and Performing Arts and Gemiini Solutions. Jonathan's path into the industry came in front of the camera, working on prime time hit shows for FOX, CBS, HBO, NBC, ABC, ABC Family, and multiple independent film projects.
While constantly striving to push the limits of craft, language, and artistry in film, Jonathan continues to spearhead creatively-driven productions from inception to delivery. Jonathan is based in Texas, splitting time between the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Los Angeles.
Jonathan Murphy began a career in entertainment at the tender age of 17, when he made his way around the local theatre circuit in the North Texas area. While attending Texas Christian University, he gained scholarship to the Model and Talent Search of Texas, and was signed by Craig Wargo and Michael Einfeld of Wargo/Einfeld Management out of Los Angeles.
