London, July 12 (Ians) Novak Djokovic stayed on track for a record 24th Grand Slam title, rallying from one set down to overcome Andrey Rublev of Russia 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3 on Tuesday to reach the Wimbledon semifinals.
The Serbian will play Italy’s eighth seed Jannik Sinner for a place in the final. Sinner booked his first Grand Slam semifinal appearance by beating Russia’s Roman Safiullin 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, reports Xinhua.
However, Djokovic will play his 46th major semifinal, equalling Roger Federer’s men’s singles record.
25-year-old Rublev was playing in his eighth major quarterfinal, but remains in search of his maiden Slam semifinal. No man has contested as many Grand Slam quarterfinals without a win in the Open Era. Former legendary Italian player Nicola Pietrangeli criticized Matteo Berrettini as he is 'wasting it all' according to the legend.
Matteo Berrettini has had a very bad season so far struggling with injuries and generally poor form when he did play. Unlike last year when he managed to put together some strong showings on grass, this year the Italian seemingly rushed back which proved the wrong decision.
He was beaten easily by Sonego in Stuttgart as Berretini was spotted leaving the court in tears . He provided an update after that loss but also pulled out of Queen's leaving his Wimbledon participation in serious doubt. It's just a bad sequence of events for Berrettini but according to Pietrangeli who talked to Puntodebreak , most of that is self-inflicted and not really down to bad luck.
Berrettini is 25 years old. He's handsome, rich and famous, but what does he want in life? He...

Italian producer Domenico Procacci, after shepherding more than 100 movies and several TV series, including Netflix’s upcoming Elena Ferrante adaptation “The Lying Life of Adults,” via his Fandango shingle, is debuting as a director with six-part documentary series “The Team.” Variety speaks to Procacci exclusively about what prompted him to go behind the camera for what he says is just a one-off experience as a director, and debuts the English-language subtitled version of the trailer, above.
The project is a deeply researched reconstruction of the complex – and sometimes comical – dynamics behind the Italian tennis team that won the 1976 Davis Cup and reached the finals for this trophy three other times between 1976 and 1980.
In “The Team,” which is being presented as a work-in-progress at the Torino Film Festival, the protagonists are the team’s players, Adriano Panatta, Corrado Barazzutti, Paolo Bertolucci, Tonino Zugarelli, and its captain, Italian tennis legend Nicola Pietrangeli.
