Thomas Erndl
Graduated from secondary school at LLR Osterhofen; training as an energy electronics technician; specialized baccalaureate at Passau Technical College; after graduation, military service, later regular soldier and reserve officer training with Mountain Tank Reconnaissance Battalion 8 in Freyung. 1996 deployment with the 1st contingent IFOR in Bosnia-Herzegovina, lieutenant of the reserve; afterwards studies of electrical engineering with focus on microelectronics at the FH Regensburg. Afterwards activities in the semiconductor industry with partly global product responsibility. Most recently responsible for relations with a southern German car manufacturer at a European technology group.
Joined the CSU and the Junge Union in 1991. Since 2002, he has been a member of the municipal council of his home municipality of Künzing, and since 2020, a district councilor of the Deggendorf district. Elected to the German Bundestag for constituency 227 (Deggendorf) in 2017.
Since 2019, Deputy President of the Association of Reservists of the German Armed Forces (VdRBw) and Head of the Foreign Policy Committee in the CSU's Foreign and Security Policy Working Group (ASP).
Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and spokesman for the CSU Eastern Bavaria Round.
