Zinziswa Soga is a young, self-made filmmaker with excellent writing, producing and communication skills. She's a media and communication specialist, strategist, social entrepreneur and humanitarian; born in Mdantsane East London in the Eastern Cape now based in Cape Town. She's a Managing Director and Executive Producer for Nobert Kelvin Film (PTY) LTD, a 100% black female owned company in Cape Town South Africa.
Her skills and expertise are more evident as she wrote and produced her 1st independent, privately commissioned film (Good Parable) which was licensed by Showmax. Her strength is multi-tasking and executing multiple projects with good anticipated outcomes.
She enjoys the corporate affairs fast-paced and highly pressurized work as it unlocks her passion, drive, willingness to roll her sleeves, curiosity and always testing that what she does is aligned to the organization's strategic goals. She has theoretical knowledge but experience on the sector is what has catapulted her to level she is now.
Zinziswa is a descendant of Soga, son of Jwarha, son of Xhosa King Nkosiyamntu; a born leader and true definition of a rock "Imbokodo", goal and success orientated. She's a bright intellect, vibrant and optimistic. Her passion for writing African stories comes from her family background as her forefather Tiyo Soga who is considered by many to be the first major modern African intellectual. He had exceptional contribution to South African literature and the struggle for social change.
She is passionate about arts and cultural projects; social-economic projects, helping less privileged to access good education and economic resources that will help them unlock their potential and break the cycle of poverty to boast local economic growth. Above all, she enjoys serving her country more especially people from rural and less privileged communities.
