Camilo Garzón is a Colombian-American writer and filmmaker who is the founder and creative director behind Cuentero Productions, a bilingual multimedia production house founded in 2023 in Oakland, California. Camilo's credits include creative director, co-voice director, executive producer, co-writer, co-audio producer, and co-audio editor for 'Soroche' (2024); co-writer, co-producer, co-sound designer, story editor, and re-recording mixer of the short-documentary sports film 'Junior Tu Papá' (2024) co-written with and directed by Daniel Díaz, which has screened at True/False Film Fest and Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias, among others; creative and consulting producer for the award-winning audio drama 'The Very Worst Thing That Could Possibly Happen' (Winner of the Audio Fiction Storytelling Award at Tribeca 2023, nominated for five Ambies 2024 and one Webby 2024) created and directed by Alex Kemp; story editor, sound designer, and contributing writer for the non-fiction pilot of 'Necessary Tomorrows' (Official Selection at Tribeca 2023) created and directed by Brett Gaylor; consulting producer, sound recordist, and interviewer for the award-winning short-documentary film 'Las Muralistas: Our Walls, Our Stories' (2022) edited by Claudia Escobar and directed by Javier Briones, which screened at San Francisco ShortFest, Santa Monica Film Fest, LA Independent Shorts and San Francisco Independent Film Festival, among others; and voice director, lead producer, co-writer, and editor of the award-winning 'Mission Muralismo Audio Zine' (2022), an experimental audio collection in which local writers Olivia Peña and Josiah Luis Alderete interweave their perspectives on the history of the San Francisco Mission Muralismo movement with stories from the muralists themselves. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, he has been based in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2020.
