Marcus Barker is a true creative. To solidify his talent as a script writer, director, actor, vocalist, song writer, dancer, and choreographer, he scored his first pivotal gig at the age of 8yrs old where he was humbled to sing the National Anthem at the Presidential Convention at the Executive INN hotel in 1993. Marcus went on to do a plethora of shows and events. At 18yrs of age he was a professionally trained actor, singer, dancer having been certified by the governor school for the Arts where he trained with Broadway professionals to hone his skills. Well versed in theatre on and off stage, tap and hip hop dance and a wide variety of vocal genres Marcus went on to guest star in over 10 plays amongst them were Rent, Kiss Me Kate, and The Wizard of Oz, write and direct 6 original plays, direct 2 major productions, write and direct 3 small films, write over 20 songs, and much the like. Marcus' raw ability to take life and bend it into art has granted him many opportunities and awards. He opened for National Recording Artist Lyfe Gennings, collaborated contracts with the Islands of Def Jams, awarded "Hottest in the Ville" by local and regional radio personalities, choreographed for the University of Louisville, won a regional Chris Brown singing competition, and much the like. He became co founder and of the Dove School of Arts (Louisville's first Artistic Trade School) along side two business partners which hosts classes on acting, videography, vocal, piano, dance, and guitar. Marcus now works as a producer and videographer for the CTN life network which broadcast to 151 countries and is pursuing a career as a film script writer/ director.
