With two months until the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea, Et has teamed up with Visa to get you familiar with all the female athletes breaking barriers on the world stage.
First there's Nigerian athletes Ngozi Onwemere, Seun Adigun and Akuoma Omega, who came to "sleigh,” becoming Africa’s first ever bobsled team.
“People have recognized us and we never really say it’s us initially. We're just kinda like…. waiting for the reaction to come. They're like, ‘Yeah, we heard that there’s this Nigerian bobsled team we're just like…[laughing].”
Initially, the team didn’t even have a bobsled to practice with.
“We did have a wooden sled that we made,” Onwemere explained.
Then there’s U.S. Women’s hockey player Hilary Knight, who has dreamed of playing in the games for nearly her whole life.

Hilary Knight's Stage-Struck World includes original artwork for posters, illustrations for Vanity Fair magazine where Knight is a contributing editor, Knight's most recent work - three-dimensional portraits in stage-like settings - and costume and set designs for performances and revues that reveal that for Knight, all the world is indeed a stage.

Lena Dunham is like a speeding comet. After she launched her career as an indie writer-director with her second feature and breakout hit "Tiny Furniture" in 2010, she made a deal with producer Scott Rudin to adapt a book—but instead committed to create "Girls" on HBO with Judd Apatow. She's working on the fifth season now. Read: Lena Dunham's Creative Universe Stretches Far Beyond 'Girls' She landed an eye-popping $3.7 million advance to write the eventual 2014 bestseller "Not that Kind of Girl," which provoked the kind of controversy that seems to have followed the actor, writer, and director throughout her career. On March 23, HBO aired "It's Me, Hilary: The Man Who Drew Eloise," a documentary portrait of "Eloise" illustrator Hilary Knight, executive produced by Dunham and collaborator Jenni Konner. Dunham is executive producing with her "Girls" partner Jenni Konner an HBO doc about Hilary Knight, the creator of "Eloise," as well as starring in Shonda Rhimes' "Scandal." And why Hollywood should follow TV's lead ("Empire," "How to Get Away with Murder," "House of Cards") and add some diversity to their slates. We talk about Abel Ferrara's run-in with French sales and production company Wild Bunch's usually close-mouthed Vincent Maraval, and trace his rise and fall, from "The King of New York" and "Bad Lieutenant" to his refusal to cut his latest film to a contractual R rating. Sometimes directors need protection and leadership from strong producers, we decide--from Ferrara to newcomers Damian Szifron ("Hollywood Tales") and Yann Demange ("'71"), who have been welcomed with open arms by Hollywood.Neill Blomcamp may need support too, as his latest "Chappie" has...

If you've ever seen Girls, you've probably noticed Lena Dunham's Eloise tattoo on the small of her back. She's long been inspired by the children's story of a young girl living in the Plaza Hotel, and a couple years ago, Dunham got to meet the books' illustrator, Hilary Knight, after a friend of Knight's told him about her tattoo. That meeting — and their later friendship — inspired Dunham to executive-produce a documentary on his life called It's Me, Hilary: The Man Who Drew Eloise that premiered at Sundance and will air on HBO March 23. Here's the charming first trailer.

HBO has released the new trailer for "It's Me, Hilary: The Man Who Drew Eloise," the documentary executive-produced by Lena Dunham, which focuses on artist Hilary Knight. Knight is well-known for illustrating the "Eloise" books, which chronicle the adventures of a young girl who lives in the Plaza Hotel. The film gets to the heart of the creator's love for and connection to Eloise, and at 87 years old, his drive and passion to continue that creation while also uncovering some of the artist's own personal failures. The official synopsis continues, "As remarkable a character as Eloise is, so is Hilary: odd, temperamental, flamboyant, on the one hand fiercely private and on the other desperate to make his legacy known. Hilary finds himself with the desire to work and limited access to the subject he would most like to work with: Eloise. What emerges is a portrait of an artist stunted...

Hilary Knight didn’t just draw Eloise he inspired a generation.
Among those the famed illustrator impacted was Lena Dunham, who identified with the popular children’s book character that lived in the “room on the tippy-top floor” of the Plaza Hotel in New York City. So much, in fact, that she has a tattoo of Eloise on her lower back.
25 Life Lessons We Learned from Lena Dunham
“That was my first tattoo because it felt like the only thing that I knew I would never get sick of,” Dunham told press at Sundance. “My childhood affinity for her never wavered. And I felt so connected to the character, and tattoos are about self-expression and self-knowledge, and that seemed like the perfect entrée into this."
It’s that appreciation for the 88-year-old artist that led her to executive produce It’s Me, Hilary: The Man Who Drew Eloise, a new HBO documentary about his life’s work...

Not unlike the previous year, a whopping eight thousand plus short films were submitted to Sundance this year. Among some of the filmmaker names that we are already familiar with, we find several feature filmmakers moonlighting back to the short form; basically the short is healthier than ever. Topping the 2015 crop, we have Jake Mahaffy (whose feature, Free in Deed appears to be somewhere in post) who contributes to our understanding of 13th century rule with the year specific, A.D. 1363, The End of Chivalry. We have Cutie and the Boxer helmer working in the fiction form with Hugh the Hunter and form the same vintage 2013 year, fellow feature film helmer Shaka King (director of Newlyweeds) turns in a short in Mulignans (see pic above). Michael Mohan who has been to Sundance with features One Too Many Dates and Save the Date, returns with Pink Grapefruit.

HandMade Films has found its Eloise for the upcoming adaptation of the children's book Eloise in Paris: Australian actress Jordana Beatty.
HandMade anticipates an ongoing franchise for the character, based on the books written by Kay Thompson and illustrated by Hilary Knight, which tell the adventures of Eloise, a precocious young girl who lives at the Plaza Hotel in New York with her dog, turtle and Nanny.
Eloise in Paris -- helmed by Charles Shyer (Father of the Bride) -- is co-written by Shyer with his daughter Hallie Meyers-Shyer and Larry Spencer.
Sydney native Beatty, 9, who has been acting in television and commercials since age 4, was discovered after more than 4,000 girls from four continents auditioned for the role. "Jordana is a unique combination of funny, feisty, sweet and soulful -- all the qualities that were so much the essence of Kay Thompson's iconic character," Shyer said.
Uma Thurman has been cast as Nanny. Principal photography begins Aug. 12 in Paris, New York and the south of France.

LONDON -- British director Nigel Cole has taken the helm of a feature adaptation based on classic children's character Eloise, the first project planned from the new-look HandMade Films stable, the company said Monday.
Cole will direct "Eloise in Paris" from a Janet Brownell and Erin Joslyn script adapted from the children's book of the same name, written by Kay Thompson and illustrated by Hilary Knight.
The live-action film is scheduled to shoot this year on location in Paris, New York and London for release in spring 2008. HandMade Films International, a new division responsible for the global sales, distribution and marketing of new HandMade productions, will handle worldwide sales.
The film will be produced by Patrick Meehan and Thomas D. Adelman, whose credits include two previous "Eloise" telefilms for the Wonderful World of Disney series.
HandMade, the newly invigorated, long-dormant production label founded by late ex-Beatle George Harrison in the 1970s, acquired film, television, music and merchandising rights to all "Eloise"-titled properties in 2002.
