Ryan Lochte has been in the news a lot recently for both good and bad reasons. After winning one gold medal at the Rio Olympics earlier this month, the swimmer made headlines again for claiming that he and three other teammates were robbed at gunpoint after a night out in the Brazilian city. He went on to admit that he fabricated his story, blaming the incident on a language barrier. But if you want a break from the controversial headlines, then look no further than his throwback interview he did with Fox 29's Good Day Philadelphia in April 2013. After talking to news anchors Sheinelle Jones and Mike Jerrick about how he was training for the Rio Games, he also touched on his short-lived E! reality series, What Would Ryan Lochte Do? He delivers some hilarious one-liners during their chat, including, "If you're a man at night, you gotta be a man in the morning.

”Seriously how are they gonna get enough material?” asked anchor Mike Jerrick after a ridiculous interview with Ryan Lochte. That right there, that is the question. About halfway through the show Ryan’s mom asks him what he’s been doing and we see a quick montage of what has happened in the episode up to that point. Ryan coyly tells his mom ”Nothing,” and nothing in the history of the world has been more true. There’s even a part where he says his life is like Seinfeld so even he knows it’s a show about nothing (minus...

Here's a much lighter post at the end of a week that has brought us an enormous amount of frightening, upsetting news. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte made an appearance on Good Day Philly to promote his reality show What Would Ryan Lochte Do? (Which is apparently a thing.) After a bit of an awkward interview, the anchors, Sheinelle Jones and Mike Jerrick, could not contain themselves, bursting out in laughter.

If you need a laugh right about now, you’ll want to watch this. Good Day, the morning show on Philadelphia’s Fox 29, did a satellite interview yesterday with Ryan Lochte, who’s promoting Sunday’s premiere of his E! reality show What Would Ryan Lochte Do?. Here’s the full interview. Below is the part you’ll care about — anchors Mike Jerrick and Sheinelle Jones laughing uncontrollably afterward. She almost loses a false eyelash from crying.
If you can’t watch the videos, the hilarity is how earnest Lochte is when describing his unique lifestyle (he likes to dance,...

Local Fox anchors Mike Jerrick and Sheinelle Jones, who host "Good Day Philadelphia," could not contain themselves after interviewing olympic athlete and budding reality star, Ryan Lochte.
Even as Jerrick and Jones were asking Lochte questions, viewers could here impending laughter in their voices. When the interview ended, they both collapsed into fits of laughter so severe that Jones was heard snorting on more than one occasion. Jerrick also took a moment to mock a response Lochte gave during the interview. "My philosophy is that if you're a man at night you gotta be a man in the morning," Lochte said, before describing this so-called philosophy without much success.
Jerrick looked straight into the camera, loosened his tie, and repeated the line as Jones wailed with laughter behind him. "He is good looking," she said. "We're going to get in trouble for this!"
"Seriously, how are they going to put together ... 13 weeks of programming?...

Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte made an adoring "Good Day Philadelphia" anchor laugh so hard on Thursday, she was on the verge of tears, but he wasn't telling any jokes. On the contrary, Lochte was simply answering (or not) questions from local Fox television personalities Mike Jerrick and Sheinelle Jones about his E! reality show "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" Also read: Ryan Lochte Gets E! Reality Show "What is the premise," Jones asked, after openly fawning over the athlete's good looks. "Not that we shouldn't care what you do, but why should we care?" This interview pretty much justifies everything I have been saying about a particular Olympian for some time now: I just don't get the big Ryan Lochte deal. I mean, I get that his face is objectively attractive, but I understand literally nothing else about what makes the swimmer so jaw-droppingly appealing to ladies. I'd rather smoke weed with Michael Phelps than do anything with Lochte, and that's not just because tomorrow is 4/20. That's any day of the year.
Ryan Lochte hits the all-important promo trail for his new E! reality show What Would Ryan Lochte Do? in order to assert himself as The Worst Olympian Ever. This included a spot on Good Day Philly with Mike Jerrick and Sheinelle Jones, who realized pretty quickly that Ryan Lochte is a f*cking idiot. They basically hold his hand during the entire interview while he mutters things like, "if you're a man at night,...

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian were mocked on live television by a local Fox news anchor last week. The reality TV sisters were promoting their brand 'The Kardashian Collection' on Fox 29's Good Day Philadelphia. As soon as the interview came to a close, anchor Mike Jerrick was already giggling. Jerrick began mocking their high-pitched voices and their pointy shoulder pads, causing co-host Sheinelle Jones to hit him. He joked: "Can they (more)...

As we reported months ago, Kevin Keller is being integrated into all the Archie titles, including Life With Archie, which imagines the kids of Riverdale High as adults. And in an upcoming edition (February, I believe), Kevin Keller will return home to Riverdale a war hero, just like his dad, and marry the man of his dreams. Fox News is losing their minds, and lined up their standard chorus of folks like Peter Spriggs of the Family Research Council for quotes like this: "I think whatever boost in sales might come from the novelty or curiosity factors will be more than offset by the number of both kids and parents who will be turned off by this storyline and its obvious social and political agenda."

Twentieth Television has opted not to renew its syndicated talker "The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet," citing economic concerns.
Meanwhile, the distributor also said Thursday that it has cleared off-net sitcom "My Name Is Earl" in more than 25 markets, representing 47% of the country, for its fall 2009 launch in syndication.
As for "The Morning Show," Twentieth TV president and COO Bob Cook said: "Over the past two years, we set out to produce a high-quality show that provided viewers with an engaging source of entertainment; we believe we accomplished this goal. Unfortunately, the current serious economic conditions made it challenging to continue producing the type of unique program that we wanted to deliver."
The New York-based strip will produce original episodes through June and will be broadcast until September.
It's understood that some of the stations airing "The Morning Show" are considering expanding their local news programming to fill the void.
