Eugene was born in a family with backgrounds in both Science and Arts. His father was designing electronics while his mom was teaching violin at a music college. No surprise he was playing three instruments at age of 8, he didn't have a choice! Over the years only guitar stuck with him.
Eugene's passion for cinematography and acting craft started back in college where he was getting fascinated with how believable actors play their characters out. It all felt like magic to him and he made a promise to understand and learn the art of acting later.
In 2013 Eugene took a stab in delivering on the promise and took a private acting class from one of the finest coaches Boston, MA could offer. Back then he realized he was not ready as he was not fully realizing why he wanted it and how much work it is.
It took another 8 years for the passion to grow on him. Eugene got back on stage at a small local theater in Fremont, CA taking classes on Improv Comedy. It was a lot of fun and half a year went by really fast when he started to feel that the genre of Improv is lacking that dramatic depth he was yearning for. This is when he decided to give an acting school another try and discovered FirstTake in San Jose, CA.
Eugene believes that acting is all about homework and emotional connection with the character. Meisner technique offers incredible flexibility in performance which allows plenty of room for the gifts that scene partners provide.
His influences are Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Margot Robbie, Matthew McConaughey and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
