Garrett Merchant is an American video producer from 2004-present. Shooting short films, documentaries, and commercial work around the Gulf Coast. In 2009 he was hired to shoot a promotional film for the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum in Biloxi, MS. He was also hired to film a promotional video for Adult Swim's Unknown Hinson (Early Cuyler of Squidbillies) promoting Fender Amps. The New York Mets hired Garrett to film & edit a short documentary about Mets superstar Cleon Jones, who caught the game-winning ball of the 1969 MLB World Series. In his earlier years, Garrett was a prolific wedding videographer filming alongside celebrity wedding photographer, Joe Busink 2010. In 2006 he was hired to film actor Charlie Day's wedding in New Orleans, LA.
Garrett was also member and drummer of the surf rock band, Jonny And The Shamen from 1996-2000. He was also a member of the synth-rock band Stereowave 2000-2002. During 2012-2017, he was the drummer in a touring Americana band.
Garrett currently (2023) freelances in video and music production in Southern Alabama. He is a Virgo.
