Equally comfortable in the roles of organist, organ technician, and church musician, Chicago native Sol Rizzato is known for integrating the science of organbuilding with the art of performance. He works at the Muller Pipe Organ Company in Croton, OH, and previously trained at the Red River Pipe Organ Company in Norman, OK, and Messrs. Czelusniak et Dugal in Northampton, MA.
Sol has served as a church musician for several denominations, and recently completed a master's degree in organ performance studying with Todd Wilson at the Cleveland Institute of Music (MM '23). He was also named to the 2023 class of the Biggs Scholars Program through the Organ Historical Society, which encompasses a 3-year term of scholarship coverage for professional development.
Sol continues to remain active as a professional violist and enjoys cooking and weightlifting. He also has a particular passion for education and outreach and hopes to be in a teaching role in some capacity.
