- Jennice Fuentes is a multilingual polymath with a distinguished career in the arts, the political world in Washington, D.C. and the non-profit arena. She is also an informed cultural and political commentator and a frequent guest on various local and national news and discussion television programs. As an an actress, she was thrilled to have landed a recurring role in the HBO critically-acclaimed series,K Street (2003) while holding on to her job in Congress, where she used to work as a Chief of Staff. Since leaving the Hill, she founded a boutique government relations firm as well as a nonprofit organization that seeks to educate and encourage civic engagement.
As a film critic, she was a frequent guest, as well as a guest host, in National Public Radio/WAMU's live, two-hour radio program, "The Kojo Nmandi Show" and in "9 News Tonight", the local news show on WUSA 9, the CBS network affiliate station. She was also a contributor to the program "Around Town", which airs on WETA/Channel 26 (http://www.weta.org/tv/productions/at/), the leading public broadcasting station in the nation's capital. From 2006 to 2007, Ms. Fuentes was the host of "Actualidades", a Hispanic Communications Network radio program featuring vignettes celebrating the best offerings in Hispanic culture.
Fuentes' movie reviews, celebrity interviews and entertainment articles have appeared in a number of Spanish language magazines, including People en Espanol, Cristina La Revista, Caras Magazine and Vista Magazine.
A native of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, she is a native Spanish speaker but is also fluent in English, French and Italian and conversant in Russian and German.
